   The right way
   
   If you put it in the wrong way it'll leak gearbox oil

    I'd have thought the flat face should be to the outside ?? Only saying,, I replaced the oil seal on an engine once and the flat face went to the outside (twas a bugger to get it in though,,, just like the missus. )

    I put it flat face facing outwards, as I thought it would face the same way as a cam seal, and it leaks.
