Hi im looking to lower the back of my saxo vtr soon. Having 17s I will need to take out the rear arch/boot ducts. Haynes max power book shows the remaining part of the duct cut away and a plate welded in. My question is if I remove the plastic duct and get the welding done later will it pass an mot in the mean time, my thought being there will be a hole there! Is there any way of blocking up the hole without welding thats passable on an mot. Any help would be great appologies if this is in the wrong section and been answered before. Im a newbie!

#2Or borrow a set of smaller wheels for the mot

#3Yeah this could be the only option as im running out of time. I still got the originals would of like to see it pass with 17s on just to make sure it would. Thanks

#4id be more worried about the front catching tbh
17s look terrible on a saxo mate
youd be better off without

#5The ducts are there for a reason so I wouldn't cover or weld them up unless you want to close your boot with all windows and doors shut and pop your rear glass out lol
