Thermostatic plate + fitting oil cooler?

   Just wondering if anyone can tell me if this is a thermostatic sandwich plate? I'm thinking yes, and if so where does the connector need to get hooked up to? Finally has anyone got any pics of the way theyve fitted their oil coolers ie brackets etc?

   No thermostat in that. Just a sensor.
