Saxo vts oil pump chain! How to get chain on?

    Hope yous can help me out here! Bought a vts engine with broken oil pump amd damaged sprocket on crank, bought new oil pump, chain and crank sprocket, only thing im struggling with is getting the chain on the sprockets! Any advice what way is the best to get it on? Thanks

    Not offhand,try haynes manual mate.

    Have you got it on the crank first?

    Still cant get this oil pump on with chain guys, dunno what way I'm meant to put it on, pump keeps on hitting the block and cant get it on! Really doing my head in lol

    Don't know of this will help but I had my oil pump off a couple of weeks ago to do the piston rings.

    I hooked the sprocket on the chain at an angle then pushed it in place so the bolt holes lined up.



    Sorry for the shit diagram (I can't draw), but it's the only way I can explain it.
