Im removing the heater matrix on my track vts and have found a silicone pipe to bypass it the only thing im worried about is does it need a restriction in the pipe??

#2Why does it have to be restricted. This question was asked the other day and I could get my head round it. Where is the restrictor in the Matrix, there isn't one so why are you worried about putting one in??????

#3I'd personally not be removing the matrix at all anyway - doing so will basically end your ability to ever use the car in the damp. The gain from removal (<2kgs) is outweighed (IMHO) by the advantage of keeping it.1 user thanked this post:

#6Coolant will flow more easily round the back of the engine rather than pass through the radiator. The heater matrix restricted the flow before it was removed.
