Heater matrix bypass

   Im removing the heater matrix on my track vts and have found a silicone pipe to bypass it the only thing im worried about is does it need a restriction in the pipe??

   Why does it have to be restricted. This question was asked the other day and I could get my head round it. Where is the restrictor in the Matrix, there isn't one so why are you worried about putting one in??????

   I'd personally not be removing the matrix at all anyway - doing so will basically end your ability to ever use the car in the damp. The gain from removal (<2kgs) is outweighed (IMHO) by the advantage of keeping it.

   You will need to restrict the pipe.

   Coolant will flow more easily round the back of the engine rather than pass through the radiator. The heater matrix restricted the flow before it was removed.
   
   Been covered a few times and one guy almost found out the hard way when his saxo almost went bang on track
