Airbag light with resistor

  1. #1
Have about had enough of this bloody airbag light now, and need to get it sorted for the MOT, I bought some 1.2ohm resistors the other day and they arrived yesterday, however they have made no difference at all, and the airbag light has stayed on, are 1.2 ohm the correct ones, did some searching on here and couldn't really find a definitive answer. also is there anything else I can try to get the light off? the car does have airbags so the light needs to come on and go off to pass mot?

    cheers

Best thing to do is find a man who can turn a blind eye to it plenty about mate , mine used to do it but i had a fiddle about with the orange cables under the seats and its never done it since

5amp blade fuse,2 orange wires coming from the steering wheel to under the drivers seat, put 1 spade connector on each wire then insert fuse.

If it was your plug that's knackered causing the light in the first place then putting a resistor in the plug won't fix anything. Hard wire the resistor in. You know solder or crimp or whatever. Eliminate the plug completely.

have just given both the above a try, removing the plug and putting the resistor straight to the wires, also tried 5 amp fuses, the light still just stayed on constantly, any other suggestions? cheers
