Important! : Saxo vtr mk2 suspension knocks, help??

    Hey guys, just wondering if any of you could help me. I fitted coilovers to saxo yesterday, I bought them of a guy on ebay, came all complete with strut assembly, I raised the suspension abit because I drove it when it was as low as it could go there was loads of bangs and knocks, evertime I go over a little bump or hole in road, there is a loud bang, it seems as if the suspension is bottoming out or something is catching, I did notice that the track rod was catching on the Powersteering rack pipe when it was really low, any ideas guys? Is there only a set height you can lower?
    Forgot to say, I had to remove the arb because there was no mounting hole for the drop links on the struts that came with coilovers.

    How low and what make of coilovers?

    I don't know what make of coilovers, it doesn't say on them and between 2 - 3 finger gap from tyre to arch (arch trim), I not measured how low in mm, but coilovers wound up roughly half way on the metal tube.

    Best suggestion is to take it to a garage & have it up on the ramps.

    They look like cheap shit coilovers. That's probably the problem.

    ^ most probably is lol.

    Best bet would be to replace them with the Gaz coilovers or decent dampers/springs instead.

    They're a death trap tbh.

    Yeah there solids on them struts mate, I got vented on now cos that's Wat saxo had on, I got work this morning n had a look at struts that's I took off, I'm thinking that are the struts with the coilovers on are off a 1.1, only thinking this as they seemed to be abit shorter in height if I recall and have no hole for drop links to go into, am I correct? If so I'm thinking of taking coilovers o them struts and putting on original struts, reckon would make a difference? The guy said the coilovers are new, he just fitted to the strut
