Bucket seat sizing

    Sup queers,

I'm going to be fitting a bucket seat into my new car but I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to knowing how they size them.

I'm a 34" waist and I'm 6ft 2. Do seats tend to come in sizes S,M,L,XL etc or is there a different system (based on waist size maybe)?

Also, any tips on a comfortable but supportive seat would be great. I have a bad lower back so can't have anything too firm. Reclining would be handy too.

    Ta.

Hello, with bucket seats / competition seats you wont find many reclining if any.
The best thing to do is find a manufacture outlet and go along and sit in a few if not all. That way they can advise you there what suits your needs.
I went direct to get my seats. They had a end of year sale on 2 x seats, 2x seat frames and 2x Harnesses all valid until Dec 2018 for £600.

Just make sure the seats you buy are the ones for you and fit you how you want them to. It is a big purchase and you need to be comfortable within the seat, dependant on discipline etc. I am in mine for 8 hours at a time so it vital they are for you.
Also, why I remember the harness when pulled tight does pull you into the seat. Be mindful of any protrusions they may irritate

Incredibly useful response, thank you. If I knew we still had decent folk on here I'd have written my post in a more formal way.

The car is going to be used on track fairly rarely, but the standard seats are very slidy (almost flat leather) and I'd like something with a tad more support. It'll also go to a couple of drift days so I could do with being secure. But mainly it'll be getting me to and from work.

Comfort is key really, I'll take your tips on board.
