Yet another conversion question

   Right after loads of searching and messing need a quick steer in the correct direction I've got a pug 1.1 bought a gti engine both are 3 plug ecu gti engine loom doesn't fit to the 1.1 interior loom in the obvious place behind the headlight so if I buy a vts loom that has a large connector plug will it plug and play? I've seen that I might need to change sensors for the vts loom rather than using 106 sensors?

   I've got the gti loom that came with the engine but the connectors don't marry up with the plug behind the headlight when I looked at a vts loom on the internet the connector was bigger and would fit.
