Immobiliser ??

   Hello all
   I've a few questions
   
   Gti 3 plug engine loom has been absolutely cocked up for it to go in a different car by some moron so I need a loom I can't find a gti loom but found a vts loom with the same size plug that's behind the headlight will that fit my gti engine or will I have to alter it??
   
   I've no ecu so if I get a 3 plug gti ecu and get it unlocked it will work right?
   
   Also this black box under the steering column does that needs to be removed before I connect the unlocked ecu up? And then what happens with the black box plug it back in?
   
   Do I need to do anything with my key or will it work?

   Black box is under the or near the interior fusebox,& yes to the first 2 questions.

   I couldn't find it there but definitely found it under the steering column on mine and any one know what to do to make sure it doesn't lock my ecu ??

   You maybe getting confused with the ignition transponder unit.

   Ahh right maybe I types in to google images and married it up with a picture off there I will have a look tomorrow do you know what to do in regards to plugging the new ecu in?
