Hello has any 1 fitted a piper 4-1 manifolf onto standerd centre pipe?? I tried with mine today but noticed the mani had threaded holes in were it joins the centre section and the sprig bolts were to big at fattest part of the bolt. Ive bodged it at min with two ten mill bolts but have no movement on exhaust now.. sorry if this makes no sense at all lol

#3You won't get a proper fit because the threaded holes are probably meant to fit to the same centre pipe I would just see how you get on with your 10mm bolts

#4think im gunna bore the holes out to make the bolts fit.. been told the exhaust needs a little movement or the exhaust could snap?????

The exhaust won't snap hahah but it puts stress on the exhaust studs on the head and so I guess they could snap after a while

#7This,you need some movement in there, which is why some cars used to have a bearing in the join to allow a bit of movement.Quote:The exhaust won't snap hahah but it puts stress on the exhaust studs on the head and so I guess they could snap after a while
