Bonnet pins legal or not?

   Hello there,i was wondering if these type of bonnet pins that don't sit flush with the bonnet,like aero-catches for example,are road legal or not and whatever they can pass an MOT or not?
   
   I was only able to find 4-5 years old threads without anyone mentioning a law or something that can prove they are not legal/illegal so i would like to have some more recent information even in the case the law has changed.

   I'd say these days you could be done under construction and use regs as they are a point that could cause injury if some one went over your bonnet .
   
   Though saying that I bet there is loads of proper mini , mk2 escorts all running around with them on, depends how anal your mot tester is

   Perfectly fine, no issues on MOT provided they are fitted correctly

   Should be legal but if they are not you could drill them off in 30 seconds and refit after the test

   The pins are fine, I suspect your bonnet isn't legal though x

   By fitted correctly what you mean? Is there a specific place/angle you should fit them?

   Have passed a fair few MOT tests with these type fitted to my Integra.

   Could come down to which MOT tester you get, If he thinks its safe its a pass, no real laws on it tho.

   But saying that my dads MK1 passed with no advisories on these, even the MOT tester was saying he had some on a mini

    Just put gaffer tape over them, and remove after the MOT
