Little bit puzzled with the 206 NFZ 8 valve that I put in my 1.1 ... first puzzlement is the alternator set up, currently it has a stripped a/c pump and a stripped pas pump fitted to enable a functional alternator!
I have been around the local breakers and checked out various other engines, but all are the same as my current one.
I need to get the single bracket onto the block so the alternator is out of the way and far lower down than it is now so it's not dragging 2 dead pumps (can't be helping anything) ... does anyone have any ideas as to what the part number I need is ??? or what car other than a VTR I can get one from, Oh and the engine is from a 1998 206 1.6. It's got the Z02 head and TU5JP NFZ block (90Bhp?) ... The brackets and alternator from the TU1JP HFX that I ripped out wouldn't fit as none of the bolts on the bottom bracket lined up and ended up with the alternator sitting too far in (even though looked the same fitting)!
Also engine mount has me pondering a little, I need to do something about this pronto really but it had to be together and running in a rush lol. I have the 206 rear mount fitted to the block as it's the same stud pattern as the saxo mount (top of block drivers side) .... but this causes unwanted engine vibration while using the 1.1 mounting bracket and mount on the inner wing (if you follow) as the bolts have had to be spaced at the bottom to allow me to tighten the thing up (as I said emergency measure), the threads don't go all the way down on the 206 engine mount!! Can I just remove the part threaded bolts from the engine mount and replace with the correct high tensile type?? or do I need a VTR mount complete to solve this problem??
Sorry for sounding maybe a little dumb, but I did change the whole thing entirely on my own over 4 days with no engine crane (and removed the old engine on my own) .... I even have it running on the 1.1 ECU which has surprised me entirely as I never thought that would even work!
Thanks for any helpful suggestions, If no one answers I'm sure I will figure it out in the end
