Probably the alternator not charging the battery.

Usually you will find that when putting your foot down, the battery light will flicker indicating the alternator. I don't think that happens in 100% of cases though so would start looking at the alternator.

3 bolts and a belt change. Easy enough to do if you know your way around a spanner

Easy job and you could do it yourself with the help of a haynes manual if you have not done anything similar before

Once the belt has been replaced and the battery charged it will also be worth getting a test done just to make sure the alternator is charging the battery properly.

As said below, it's simple to do but if you aren't proficient with tools then I would recommend taking to a trustworthy garage to do.

Also as you are female it is mandatory here to provide pics so I hear

    Measure the battery voltage.
