Most of that list is easily fixable yourself with the exception of the rust, that would require welding, which if you cant do yourself can be expensive.

Is it drums or disc brakes on the back?

Please tell me where it mentions rust?the front end wants new discs and pads plus new wishbones for a start.i've seen a lot worse.my bad about the rust the pipes if it's only surface rust just need a wire brush/emery cloth on them.

    Cheers stevo67,

As far as I was aware the mechanic, not from a garage, just a guy I know who does things a bit cheaper , supposedly replaced wish bones, or at least one, not so sure he has now

I will get new pads and discs on the front, had a bit of a problem with the brakes a while back and wasn't able to bleed the system as the back bleed nipples had broken off, due to the previous owner.

This car has been sitting for about 10months in a yard, so hasn't been getting used. I just want to get it back on the road asap

Cheers for all your help guys

    I read:
"Nearside and offside front outer sill areas Suspension component mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded"

As rusted, sorry if I assumed incorrectly.

Ive not even seen how bad it is, as the cars sat with the guy for a good few months. He just said to put it in for an MOT and see what comes back.

Just not sure if its going to need to be welded or if its possible to sort all the rusted sills or if it can be patched or whatever,

I just want my car back and its a bloody pain with all these issues.

So this doesn't sound good guys does it?

It's going back to the guy who supposedly fixed it up for the MOT, Im sure he will try and get more money out of me now though. Just paid him £300, so you can probably see why I'm annoyed

Ive not been able to actually look at it myself, just hoping it can be patched, just not sure as I don't really have mass amounts of money to be spending on welding.

I think I'd probably just give up and scrap it to be honest put the money towards another car instead of spending on repairs

    Hey Ben,
That's kind of what I thought but just spoke with the guy that had supposedly sorted it and he says he will sort it and it's just minor welding that needs done.

In all honesty with you I don't have money for another car lol so if it means outtingn another 100 or so into this one then I will just need to do it.

Cheers for your opinion though, will keep you posted on the outcome
