Do single plug vts engines need analogue

As above, if I've got a single plug vts engine and a 3 plug vtr interior loom, do I keep digital dials or do I need the analogue ones?

Mk2 single plug cars have digital dials. Its the speed sender on top of the diff that gives off the signal for the dials so if it has a cable swop it out with one from your current box, the rev counter runs off a signal on both.

Edit - dont know if thats clear, if you have digi dials keep them and swop the speed sender over to the new box and job done.

I'm not too sure on that so wouldn't like to say but it wouldn't be hard to get a late single plug ecu worse case, I'm pretty sure pug/cit wouldn't of changed inside the ecu for the sake of a year before going 3 plug, i know that dont help you haha
