Battery light

  1. #1
    Hi all

Spent some time today doing a lot of stop/start driving, enough to cause the fans to come on quite often. After a while the battery light came on faintly, sometimes getting brighter. I called it a day at this point, heading home I drove along at 60mph and the battery light went out.

Can the fans draw enough power to cause the battery light to come on? Or am I looking at a battery or alternator problem?

    Thanks

    Chris.

It's either an alternator problem or a broken/dirty connection on the alternator cable.

sounds like an alternator problem to me get the volt meter on it sould be puting out 14v+
then turn every thing on lights fans heater heated windows raidio then do the same test should still be 14v+

if not then u have a problem

Probably a loose alternator plug,it's the black plug 2 wires on top of alternator, alternator itself is driver side near cam belt cover.
