I was wanting some bright white LED lights under the dash/Footwell that would come on when the interior light came on? i know it possible but how would i go about doing it

Wire into the door switch, exactly the same as the interior light. If you wire that way only 1 will come on depending which door is opened, if you want both on even if only one door is opened then your need to wire directly into the interior lights circuit so may need to run wires up the A pillars to the feed unless you can test wires under the dash to find the circuit there instead.

Just wire it to the interior light. Straight up the A pillar and through the headlining. Easy.

I like the sound of 1 will come on depending on what door is open. Would it be possible to do that and have both of them come on with a on/off switch?

Double wire it, (live feed into the switch from an ignition switched live with an inline fuse so it doesn't risk draining the battery) wire both into a switch so you can put them on and off when you want then wire each one into their door pin so when the door opens it will turn on the one light.

Only thing is, will the switch be worth it seeing as driving with them on could be a distraction and catch the eye of other drivers, police hate seeing interior lights on when a cars moving.

Thanks Yeah there will definitely be a switch in there. I didn't think it would matter about them on all the time from the police with them being white but they would be annoying on all the time.

It would depend how far behind the dash you fit them, if they're far enough under you won't get too much light higher up the car so less noticeable but then it's still the question of if your want them on constantly whilst driving weather or not to wire them into a switch aswell

No they won't be on when i'm driving

I'd personally just stick to wiring to the door pins then if you want individual ones on or to the interior light for both to come on whenever the interior light comes on.
