How do I jack up my saxo and put it on stands?

    Alright lads.

Bit of a dunce question coming up, and yes.. I've searched it! But there seems to be no definitive answer.

Ideally I'd want somewhere I can jack up from the front to then position both stands on the jack points and gently lower the car onto them.

But I don't think there is one.

Basically; how do you jack up the saxo so you can put stands in the correct position?

Can I put the jack on something else underneath the car with a bit of wood or whatever? Anyone got any pics?

I'm looking to do an oil change this weekend.

    Cheers Lads!

Jack the car up on the wishbone mount

As above and keep your feet out from under the car in case anything slips.

Oh right ok cheers lads, I'll try and wedge some wood in there too so it's supported better. Cheers

Are you using a trolley jack or the saxo jack? If you're using the Saxo jack, jack on the sills, and put the axle stands under the wishbone mount. I wouldn't use blocks of wood, just put the car straight on the axle stands.
