can you buy timing discs on there own? also is it hard to set the timing on a set of high lift cams?

#2you dont need them.
if your timing 708s as your other thread looks like you are.
set both to standard, then
inlet, retard this by about 1.5mm-2mm from locking hole
exhaust, advance this by the same amounts.
it will then idle perrrrrrfect

#3id rather use a timing disc that 1-2mm lol thats a bit of a random setting Will. (although probs works)
timing is one are id be making sure i set right as if its wrong you can loose loads of power and torque (ive done it once myself where it was out by 3 degrees and the car lost 11bhp through the rev range) -
#4im getting my mapped so i have set mine so it idles, and wayne can adjust it for power.
if you just want it to run ok on standard map till its mapped then my method will work.
