Removing rear wiper - washer jet?

   Once I've don't this how have people stopped the washer jet working?
   
   Just not used the control? Or is there a permanent way to stop it leaking?
   
   I've searched but can't find the answer unless Im being dumb?!

   I just filled the hole in the hose with silicone. Been like that for a few years haven't had any leaks.
