Hoping a new MAP Sensor will finally sort idle and stalling but how do you know which to buy when you enter Reg number into Euro Car Parts or GSF and they give you 3 or 4 options?

Thanks for that but here's the problem!!

    I've got 1998 16v engine in a 2001 VTR.

The loom was properly spliced by I think Tom (on here) and he had it running on his car.

Since then the previous owner of my car has cut the MAP sensor wires and rejoined them but I don't know if it's fitted with the correct sensor or he changed the plug and sensor for whatever he had.

    The sensor fitted has,

    3005
    08J
    17,3/105kPo

on it but I can't find anything that relates to that.

it should be a sensor like this:

i have ordered this one for my 1999 1,6 16v
i read that there was a change of item numbers at Bosch so i guess that is why there are some different numbers on the market....
