mk2 vts p/steering.....again but with more issues

   Last week changed the alternator ( had no power steering and battery light was constantly on), once changed everything was working as it should.
   However, a week on and battery light flickered for literally 2 seconds lastnight and hasn't been on since, i have no power steering....again!! also my heaters don't work.....hot or cold, cant hear the motor.
   Battery and alternator voltage is fine.
   What's my problem?
   
   It's seriously doing my head in now, someone please help.

   What's the condition of the plug and wires on the alternator like?

   as far as im aware, plug and wires are in good nick, will double check later though.
   
   is the heater blower motor thingy behind the dash ran off the alternator too?

   Not 100% sure, the motor will be part of the circuit yes.The only way of telling if the motor is faulty is by running a feed to the motor.If the motor spins then it's likely to be the switch at fault.

   iv got a mechanic coming out to it either later on or tomorrow. he can do all the checks.
