   I noticed play in ball joint so pressed a new one in within 2 weeks noticed there was playy again yes there's probably wear in hub but I'm runing coilovers and with these saxo hubs u can't split them any cheap options or is it gonna haveto be converting a new set of legs into coilovers?

   Check the hub is not ovalled. I've not yet seen it on saxos but 205 hubs are doing it.

   I'll check in bit its road rally car it is I've tried another wishbone on it with correct pinch bolt coz I was using pin with thread all way but its still doing it with right pin and another wishbone only difference with 205 the hub seperates from the shock saxos don't which is bad invention in my mind .

   makes no difference in design other than making replacement parts a lot cheaper.

   Is it possible to machine hub out and put slightly bigger ball joint has this been done?

   Bit of a waste of time.
   
   Plus, you'll be making the clamp thinner and you'll have an odd ball joint.
   
   Get another strut.
   
   When you fit the "new" strut, make sure you use a NEW bolt the correct size and torque it up.
   
   They only wear like that if that's not tightened properly.

   The trouble I have my struts been converted into coilovers I might avto convert another pair then and use these shocks and springs then .

   best bet it a set of satchell struts and wishbones.
