definitive bleeding guide

  1. #1
    hi guys

could someone post a definitive guide to bleeding a VTR please? i have read many posts on here and a lot of them contradict each other. some people say bleed left to right, others say right to left, some say cold but others say while the engine is running. im getting a bit confused on which is the correct method as ive done previous cars while the engine is running with no problem. however the saxo is being a bitch and wont bleed properly.

    cheers

    Engine off
    engine cold

create a header of water using a bottle. Keep the bottle topped up at all times.

Bleed the rad, replace the cap
Bleed the stat housing, close the nipple
    Bleed the matrix hose.

Remove bottle and place rad cap back on.

Start car and make sure it comes up to temp. the fans may never come on depending on ambient temperature but the needle should at least reach half way and no more than 3/4

Fans kick in between 3/4 and the start of the red.
