Rear Torsion bar raising / lowering

  1. #1
    Hi,

I've printed off a couple of guides (badgersport being one of them) for my local garage to raise the rear of my VTS after removal of Koni kit and fitting of Bilstein / Eibach Pro shox and springs.

Does anyone know how many mm's rotation of the splines on the torsion bar equates to? i.e. 1 full turn equals 10mm, 1 half turn equals 5mm

    Thanks,

    Darren

remove dampers, support weight of arm, measure from hub to arch, remove torsion bar, move arm up by desired drop, fit torsion bar back in.

you will need to rotate the torsion bar trying each spline till you find the right one.

Don't rotae the splines. Knock the torsion bar out and move the trailing arm up or down to desired hight and knock it back in.

If you're completely removing the bars, then I think it's about 4mm height adjustment by rotating the bar one spline at both ends of each bar.

complete removal of bars is only correct way --and support arms to desired height and turn bars till them will slip in -drop on wheels -no dampers check hieght --if correct rebuild if not do it again
