How long does it take for this stuff to set and can drive again. Applied and sealed up. Is it generally 24 hours before car use or can you use after a few hours once excess has set n gone hard etc.

    Thanks in advance.

I've had ones which say 24 hrs, but ones which are 30 minutes. Read the instructions.

Also depends on temperature as to how quick it sets.

Well am happy it started skinning after 15 min instructions on tin was blery and couldn't make heads or tales of it other than apply on both parts wait for skin apply seal together and to not fully tighten left for about an hour nd was ok to drive..

Seems to of done the job tho halfrods stuff didn't even stick as tried to do over the weekend left it come back after 24 hours started car up n was like ok no oil leaking anywhere after 10min on tick over drove round the block oil pissed out everywhere and instant gasket not even set and was shit.

Gone to another store got me some Black RTV Silicone Instant Gasket was shocked how quick was setting, instructions where bleary so couldn't make out what was what on it but done the job n sealed up for now.

It instantly forms a gasket. That does NOT mean the gasket has set.

I put a blob on the work bench at the same time I'm using it in the engine. When that's dry..
