Hi all,
Having some issues with our 1.4 S reg West Coast atm.
So a couple of weeks ago it wouldn't start, checked battery and it was completely flat, charged it overnight and popped it back in and the car was fine again, next morning same issue battery flat.
So bought a new battery which my husband (somehow) managed to put on back to front and it gave off some smoke so he immediately took it off. (Car was off the whole time)
My dad later fitted it the right way and the car would then crank but not start so he checked all the fuses etc which were all fine and said he probably blew the ECU.
So we bought a new ECU it has some special function that turns off the immobiliser as that's been playing up recently.
So now when you start the car (first click loud buzzing sound) then it cranks and it tried to start but didn't, so we popped in a fresh can of fuel and now it will fire up but will die after a few seconds. My dad thinks it might be the fuel relay but wants some more opinions.
Any ideas guys?
Thanks in advance
