Saxo Aerial Roof Rusting!!

  1. #1
Basically i was going to buy a Aerial Blanking Plug to replace the aerial i took off today as it was useless and i could see there was rust on top of the roof but once i took it off could see that the hole looks alot bigger then i first thought area around it is rusted and weak could easily push it through what would you recommend doing to fix it as i dont thing the blanking plug is going to be big enough and no one wants a rusting roof!

That's an easy fix,if the metal is not too badly corroded rub down put some k-rust treatment on.followed by zinc primer then top coat.once all dry fit a slightly bigger grommet on.

Ideally you want a small metal plate welding in there then a layer of body filler. Otherwise its just fiberglass or filler + mesh to try and patch the hole up.

Ideally yes i agree with you,but it's a base model saxo and probably a stepping stone onto better things.
