miss fire

    Hello. Been out and abou in car today left if for a hour came back to it started it and it ran rough wouldnt tick over....turned it of started it and did same untill i drove it. It was holding back untill i got to 30mph and run fine. Turned it off put petty in started it done same untill i got upto speed ..... am i right in thinking this could be coil pack???

    Could well be the coil pack,but get it plugged into a diagnostics machine first.

    Im gunna buy one mate there only a tenner, if that fails ill scrap it lol.

    Might be just a bit of condensation and starting from cold. Service the car, plugs, air filter etc and it shouldn't happen. If you done that already, try cleaning your plugs and coilpack connections, spray a little wd40 before plugging back.

    yeah it got serviced a few months back, I have fitted a 4-1 manifold around two months ago so it has no cat now. the engine management light is on and it stinks of petrol at the moment. I have plugged first lambda in and tie wrapped second one up and it has been running fine until this problem.

    the management light has been on since I fitted the piper manifold

    There's your problem. When your lambda sensor pops up, the car overfuels a bit. That might explain the petrol smell. If your air filter or plugs get a bit of moisture, you'll get some misfire.

    The car been spot on tbh. Ill have a good look tomorow and let you know how i get on.
