    Hi everyone
    looking for some help
i have a saxo desire 1.1 had issues with heater power steering and battery light on. Changed battery first as was looking old anyway. Then problems remained. Now changed alternator myself but have really high revvs and worried to leave the car running as it sounds so high shes gonna blow.... do i need to adjust the tension bolt on the alternator belt and which way tighter or losser.?
Thx to anyone that can help.

Wil just be because your battery has been running low voltage so none of the sensors are getting the correct power to give off the correct signals.
Just take it for a good half hour drive to charge the battery up a bit and that should sort it!
When my battery went dead once and I jump started it, it was holding the revs at 5000rpm on its own, a good 30mile drive and it idled sweet!

Sorted revvs. Turned on car throttle full then let go back down. Turn back on sounds fine.

Still have no power steering heater and battery light on. Will this go after battery is fulling charged?
Checked sll fuses but no resistors is there something i'm missing?

Thx Worked like a charm. Ran it round the block 2 times amd battery light went out heater now works and power steering is all working.

If anyone has batyery light on heater not working power steering not working and rear window heater/de-icer not working (doesn't light up when on). Chances its the alternator. Pretty easy to fit yourself but get the correct one for your reg.

Replace and drive until battery light comes on and rest should work too.
