Now and again my Rotrex supercharged VTS likes to shred/"fling" off the aux belt, which on mine goes around the charger and alternator pulleys (as standard just the alternator)
Normally I just lose the power steering (I'm guessing the motor is run directly from the alternator) and obviously stops charging the battery (I've driven 20+ miles to get home but not left with enough amps to turn the starter motor once home.
Anyway, she had her hissy fit the other day and driving home my stereo died and the electric windows have stopped working. The 12V live for the stereo isn't getting any volts and I guess the window motors are the same but I haven't bothered taking the door cards off to check.
I've checked the fuses (I had presumed that they were on the same fuse then realised that there's no way they would be on the same part of the loom)
Any solutions, ideas or even speculations would be much appreciated.
