Engine Boggs down when warm

  1. #1
Hi! Can anyone help? Got a vtr mk2 on start up from cold it revs beautifully, but as it starts to get warm when I blip the throttle it Boggs down and runs roughly for a few seconds! If I turn the engine off and let it cool down,it runs perfectly again until it gets warm???

Has it got an aftermarket airfilter?

    When was it last serviced??

have tried it with aftermarket, origional and no air filter does exactly the same.has had fresh plugs oil and filters recently!today tried a different throttle body with all sensors, off another car which was running fine but still made no difference. will try and get a mate to post on a vid he has of it so you can see exactly what its doing

    Checked the coilpack?

    ▪ Spark plugs
    ▪ Coil, HT leads, coil pack
    ▪ Fuel injectors
    ▪ Air filter
    ▪ Intake air temperature sensor
    ▪ Fuel filter: especially if ran on empty
    ▪ Idle control valve (aka idle air control valve, stepper motor)
    ▪ Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor
    ▪ Coolant temperature sensor
    ▪ Crankshaft sensor (aka TDC sensor, engine speed sensor)
    ▪ Cylinder head gasket
    ▪ Lambda / oxygen sensor
    ▪ Inlet manifold air leak

I've changed all of these today off a good running engine, throttle body with good map sensor, idle control valve and throttle position sensor, both lamia sensors, temp sensor, fuel rail and injectors, coil pack and even plugs! This engine runs sweet as until it gets warm! If I progressivley bring the throttle in its still fine, but if i press the throttle hard it just Boggs down!

Fuel pump not playing ball maybe. Can't keep up with the fuel demand of sticking your foot to the floor

I think the fuel pump is working fine mate, the thing revs up perfectly until it starts to warm up,thanks for the help tho!

On idle what voltage is the alternator pushing out?

Sorted now! Unlocked the ecu on my mates car,it's a 2 min job. Fitted it to mine and it's running mint! Many thanks for the help!
