Clutch slipping - is it fukushima'd?

Clutch has been a bit rubbish last couple of months but this evening it started slipping when accelerating in 4th and 5th. It would slip then be fine. Guessing this means it's dead? Only fitted it 30k ago. Was a proper valeo one too.

I'd of thought so. To be fair with you saying that; I had a Valeo clutch fitted ~30k ago and it had to get it changed about two months ago. Guess it's just a strange coincidence.

Bloody annoying as i chose the valeo one over a LUK

Was it adjusted ok? I never had any problems with mine for years.

Not sure. I didn't do it myself, left to a friend of a friend. Probs wasn't done properly in the first place

clutch pedal should be level with brake pedal and you should be able to lift the pedal --if not its been adjusted too tight --which will be why its now slipping --check adjustment befroe replacing

Unfortunately it looks like it's knackered. Can lift clutch pedal and it's level with brake pedal. Been quoted £240 for fitting and supplying.
