Over fueling, cutting out, over revving idle

Still trying to fix this problem

    Symptoms:
    Over fuelling
    Cuts out

if I fit a brand new icv it revs to 4k rpm, then cuts out
If I fit a icv that I've manually wound out, it revs to 1k rpm then cuts out.

At one point I did have it idling at 1.5k rpm, but driving it, it hesitates and stumbles badly all through the rev range.

    things I've changed:
    map sensor
    icv
    temp sensor
    tps sensor
    coil pack
    plugs
    lamba sensor
edit: crank sensor changed no change

i'm now about to take off my predator ecu and put my standard ecu back on and see what happens...

Just put my standard ecu back on, started first time on the key without hesitation and idled without stalling, obviously ran like a bag of shit because of the bigger injectors etc, but clearly there's my problem....

I reckon your problem either lies with a faulty ecu,or an incorrectly mapped one.

Like Stevo said, sounds like a shit map

Well it was a bastard to map apparently, as I had starting issues which I thought was the icv, but now with the standard ecu on, it fires instantly and idles fine :s After it was mapped, the only issue was the cold starting, after it was warm, it boosted fine, no hesitating what so ever, well it's booked in again to have a look at the map.

My mapper has told me it's a common problem with TU engines and megasquirt ECU's to fail

Well then it's gotta be either a dodgy ecu or the map. I'm still betting on the map tbh but surely he'll be able to tell you when you take it over

Hopefully it's just the map, if not, i'll have to send it back to Andy to have it fixed it's booked in for the map to be looked at after the new year
