Rear brake light works,position doesn't.

   Left side rear position light just won't work,i have tried using a different bulb (same 21/5w),another working bulb holder,have checked all the fuses in the cockpit and they all work,checked the wiring that goes to the cluster light and it's fine,I've ran out of ideas,anything that i could have missed?

   Double filament bulb,ie one bulb operates brake light & rear light.

   I am aware of that,light still doesn't work.

   Does the bulb feel loose in it's holder?

   Poss got the same problem as me brake in wire somewhere. Am assuming the other lights work on it however the bank light does not want to come on. Myself found that the wires are actually rotted and need replacement loom. So could be a brake in the wire somewhere and rotten wire somewhere on it. Could take a wire from fuse box and put a full new wire in losley and test it push into the whole should be enough space to get a 2nd wire into it and connect it and then feed to the back. Just make sure you know what one to do etc might need to take all tape off and trace from F to B of car.

   Yep i know,the only thing left is to trace all the wire back to the dashboard and see it there's any brake as it seems that there's no power going to the bulb when switched to the 21w position.

   There isn't any relay that controls the rear lights right?

   No only the brake light switch.
