Starting Problem!

   Hi All and Happy New Year!
   
   I have a starting problem with my Saxo 1.1 Desire which on first look appears to be a flat battery so with that replaced with a brand new and fully charged battery the problem still exists.
   
   When turning the ignition key the engine clicks and turns once. I have tested for a poor earth connection by connection a jump lead between the engine and the negative battery terminal without success.
   
   Any ideas or pointers?

   Also..
   
   No Fault codes are stored, fuel pump primes no problem.
   
   Only strange thing is the heater blower doesn't blow with ignition on ?

   Alternator faulty?Check connections to starter & the gearbox earths.
