krylon spraying your saxo

  1. #1
Well gents i currently have a silver passenger door and silver wing on my black mk2 vtr thanks to the ice last week.
i know that i could get these parts rubbed down primed and sprayed to match the car as it is but its not cheap. I paid 300 for the car so im not particularly keen on spending the same price again on painting panels. So i decided now that the car realisticly is worth very little with mismatched panels etc that il keep it on and do something a bit different from the norm.
I want to spray it matt black using krylon.has anyone done this before themselves and have any advice?
Do i need to take the paint all the way back or could i just key it enough to let the new stuff gripetc

    cheers
    Chris
