Log book

Recently purchased a car and did not recieve the logbook as the garage I got it off were still wating for the log book off the guy who traded it In as he had to re apply for it (sound like bullshit) but I knew this when I got it.

My question is I have the green slip but it's allready filled In by someone else can I still use it to get the logbook for free or do I need to pay the £25?

Yep seriously I'm not taking the piss.

I bought a 306 off a dodgy geezer a few years ago, I saw the green slip was already tippex'd out while looking at all the docs, but I'd never really needed to use the green slip before so didn't think much of it.
He said he'd send off the v5, but obviously never did. So I had the use the shitty, already tippex'd out green slip to claim my new v5. lol.

It all went through fine and I got my v5 with no fee and no questions!

Just googled it quickly aswell, there's a fair few other forums with people asking the same question.
Just type in "v5 green slip tippex". As long as the green slip has not been stamped by the post office it sounds like you can tippex it as much as you want
