Pressed plates and yellow fogs

  1. #1
    Hi guys,

I plan to fit pressed steel plates for the French Euro look soon. These are legal right? Also where is the cheapest and easiest place to get them?

I also plan to tint my fogs yellow, again for the French look What's best to use to tint them without any creases or do I spray them? Any advice on this?

    Thanks!

    Dan

Ebay for plates, as for fogs... just buy yellow bulbs.

They're only legal if they're stated to be legal. Some are reflective, some are not. Only reflective ones are legal. eBay for the pressed plates.
Same for fogs, eBay yellow tint film and get some adhesive yellow film and stick that on it.

As said above you can get legal pressed plates but not all are. So just buy legal ones and your fine. Easy way to get legal yellow fog lights is just to buy winter style bulbs. Don't forget though it is illegal to use fog lights unless the fog is so thick visibility is under 100m. So next to never in most parts of the UK.

I just tinted my foglights with cheap ebay yellow tint, it works ok, makes the light emitted way more yellow but as AXracing said it is a foul to use them unless its peasoup.

Those pressed plates are a grey area and I think most police will pick up on them if you are stopped. Buy them but keep the originals in the boot and be prepared to pay a fine if you have to.
