removing rear seats and repkacing with speaker build

  1. #1
So with my car being a 1.1 I dont like taking more than one passenger so im going to remove the seats but I know this makes some noise so I have some insulation

Now im thinking of building a box out of hardwood that would sit where the seats do. This will allow for some big speakers and a whopping sub without reducing the boot

Can anyone think of any issues? I plan on bolting it to the original bolting points for the seatbelts and rear seats

Would 5.5mm thick hardwood be okay or would you use thicker

Just don't do it - it's so unnecessary!

Some decent speakers upfront, possibly running off an amp. Upgrade rear speakers. 10/12" sub & amp in the boot, and it'll be more than ample. Trust me.

If you start building boxes it's going to get heavy! And don't forget if you're mixing speakers with subs in a box, they will need their own air space.
