Bits replaced - new vibration!

The road going Saxo used to clunck when setting off and when changing gear vigourously. It also knocked when on full lock.
So, we replaced both driveshafts (for brand new Q-drive) & top mounts (also new).

The clunk when changing gear still remains, so presume it's engine mounts next (all or just the bottom one?).

Interestingly, there is now a vibration/wobble in low gears and at low RPM, between 1500 and 3000. Almost akin to a wheel wobble. On the motorway, It is not evident.
I'm hoping that engine mounts may remove it - but I now am worrying it could be the new driveshaft causing it???

I'd say it was the gearbox mount

Causing the new vibration or the gear change clunk? or both?

Causing the clunk. Suppose the vibration could be linked but I'd change that then go from there if it doesn't stop

vibration can be a sign the gearbox is on the way out, mine used to shake/vibrate in certain speeds until I put a hole through it lol, or maybe wheels need balancing, or tracking.

Didn't do it before putting shafts on though, if it was wheels.

How come the box was on the way out?

Ah sorry, you have the correct shafts yes? i.e. non tapered/tapered, with the hub nut torqued correctly? and I think my diff was knackered, it survived for about 4 months until it went bang

Lower gearbox mount has almost fixed the vibration.
As it happened in the lower part of the rev range, it must rely on that lower bush to help in the torque range.

Just need to cure the clunk now, which I believe is both engine mounts and that buffer thing.

    L33h was right.
