Clutch Kit

  1. #1
Ok so looks to me that the next coming month going to be doing a fair bit of work and might as well replace the clutch in it given tis almost done 60 to 70k miles however I have no idea how hard the clutch was ran before I got the saxo.

My clutch at the min is getting near the top end for biting point. Right now am about half way out for releasing peddle and a little bit more but finding its getting closer to the top as was centre and before when I got it.

No high revs yet and holds on bite. So looking to get new clutch kit so I cure before my clutch is proper gone and have high revs and top of peddle.

Anyone recommend a good clutch kit for fast shit changes moderate driving and some competitive driving if poss doing track day etc.

Have been considering going aftermarket depending on what gains would be if can notice from normal kit to after market kit was thinking to do maybe stage 1 or 2 kit and slowly upgrade rest of car to stage 2 and beyond.

Depending on what engine mods you do a valeo is the best option if you dont plan on running a turbo/supercharger etc.

If you do then you want a good brand paddle clutch like helix etc.
