left indercator and intermitent wiper problem

   Hi so i have a 1.1 saxo desire and when i put the left indercator on i tap it down but it doesnt come on i have to tap it down then move it a little for it to come on and also all the wiper settings work apart from the intermitent 1 and when i spray the screenwash they dont come on. Any idea, do i have to change the stalks or what, have an mot in about 3 weeks and need it sorted before then.

   Might be the relay but sounds like it'll the the stalk or the connection to the stalk. When you try to use the washer does the pump work?

   knackered stalk. Could be actually excess moisture as I seen before. try to warm it up a few minutes with a hairdryer on low heat for a few minutes, see if that improves anything.

   Ya the pump works i can spray the windscreen just have to put the wipers on manualy when i do ill try some new stalks
