Replacing 1.1 wishbone bolts

  1. #1
Im getting ready to change the wishbones on my 1.1 mk2 and as im a little bit ocd I like to change all the bolts for new ones

Would anyone know what bolts I will need? As well as the tensile strength of each bolt?

Go to the main dealer & give them your reg mate.

all you need is a new pinch bolt and a new bolt/nut combo for the front part of the wishbone the rest will come with new wishbones, you can get the bolts off eBay if you don't mind a wait or the dealers if you need it now.

Just search 'saxo wishbone bolts' on ebay and it will come up with everything

You can reuse the old ones for the time being, its advised to replace them but theyre not stretch bolts so if theyre still in good nick then theres no reason why they won't be ok

I will be doing it on my drive so wanted the size and length so I could be prepared and im not buying the bolts from a dealer for the price they charge I could put titanium bolts on

I only want to know the ball joint bolts and the bush bolts

The bolts that go under the carpet are integral with the wishbone, which usually come with the nyloc nuts.
The pinch bolt can be bought from a main dealer, they use a standard nyloc 17mm nut.
The big bush bolt can be reused no problems with a new nyloc nut..
