spring snapped

    hi as in tittle my driver side spring snapped on me yesterday had to get towed home as was rubbing on tyre. Should i get both replaced on just the 1? Dose anyone have a ruff idea of how much it would cost?

    If you can afford to, do both and top mount bearings too. I did one side and a few months later the other side went. Both bearings were shot too.

    Also useful to have some droplinks as they usually sieze on!

    If you have another car to use its cheaper to take the struts off yourself go roa garage and get them to fit the springer it'll take them ten minutes. Save so much in labour.

    Very true. I was lucky in the fact i have a garage mate who had a compressor. Doesnt help for shit 206 springs though (the spring isn't fully relaxed when the cars jacked up, a set of death sticks will just about take up the slack so you can get it out of the hub or off the balljoint!
