Hazard light switch pins

  1. #1
    Hi guys,

I've got a hazard light switch in the place of one of the blanking switches and I want to wire it up so that it powers my footwell lights. What are the pins on the back of the switch for so that I can wire it up?

    Thanks,
    James

Pull out your work hazard switch, leave it wired up switch it on.then test probe the pins.

How can I get access to the pins if it's still plugged into the connector?

Okay I've had a fiddle and I can get the hazard switch to pass a current through when switched on but I can't get the LED inside to light up. Any ideas?

Give me strength, with the switch out but still connected turn the switch on.just touching each of the connectors in turn will cause the test probe to light up.that way you'll know what each pin does.never in a month of sundays will you know with the switch disconnected.

Oops, didn't realise that the switch would function if not completely plugged into the connector block - thought I might have to strip the wires behind the block and probe those.

As above, do you know how to get the internal LED to light up?
