MK1 VTS Engine v MK2

  1. #1
    Morning gents,

I've got a MK1 VTS and thinking about putting it into a MK2 VTR shell how easy would this be? Or would it be easier to put it into a MK2 VTS shell? I guess engine is just plug and play just worried about everything else?

    Cheers

Straight swap. Just the wiring to sort out.

    Why? Mk1's look better

What wiring would need sorting out engine loom & interior Loom? Yes MK1 looks better just going for a better shell

You could fit the whole mk1 vts loom into the mk2 vtr if your feel like it, otherwise it's just the engine loom you need to swap/mod.

I believe interior looms are the same just be engine bay loom, would it not be easier to just buy a whole mk2 vts and swap any decent parts you have over

Vts has oil level gauge, vtr doesn't so looms must be different.

You can either use your mk1 engine / loom and interior loom into the mk2 shell , or splice your current engine loom into the mk2 interior loom, or keep the mk2 interior loom in, and use a mk2 engine wiring loom (ecu too) and sensors on your current engine
