Hello I have a w reg saxo vtr it has the a big single plug loom, and I have bought a 97 vts engine which has a small single plug loom, is there a connector I can buy to join them or can I splice them together, if so can someone put up a diagram, thanks.

    Anyone?

You can splice them together. Do a search and there is already a diagram online of each plug number and where it goes too etc.

You don't have to change the interior loom, I am currently converting a 52 plate vtr, with a 97 vts engine, single plug though. If you do a bit of searching someone on here has wrote down different plug types, interior, chassis, ecu etc etc. I will try have a look for you.

On my car the vtr had a 3 plug ecu (I think, been a while I've had the car), I found an unlocked ecu and loom luckily on ebay, single plug which my engine needs, I think there are 2 or 3 different chassis plugs, the pins will need to match up in order for the interior to work with the engine ( please correct me if I'm wrong anyone!) my new chassis plug matches up with the vtr and engine starts its now back out for some paint work.

Check out ebay for loom and ecu, speak to the seller? Hope this helps

check out the link for an unlocked ecu, which I think your engine will need, and I could sell you my old loom if you like, its a bit grotty (oily/greasy) but was fully working when I took it off the engine, its all marked up too. if you can upload a pic of your current chassis plug I could see if my chassis connection should line up?
