manual gearbox oil

   hi all, i've just emptied the oil out of my gearbox, and noticed that the previous owner used automatic transmission fluid in a manual box??? in my manual it states that it requires 75/80 oil, I do remember years ago messing around with Vauxhalls, that they had atf in their manual boxes, but in these?
   any suggestions welcome!!

   BV oil. Only oil to use really.

   standard dealer supplier 75w80 oil is what you need, don't use anything with EP on the label.

   Just use the total stuff, its the right spec and generally cheaper than all the others too
